AVEVA™ Mobile Operator

Auto registration of Enterprise users

An enterprise user can automatically register to Management Center by typing in the user credentials when logging in to Management Center, AVEVA Mobile Operator web application, or mobile app. The user credentials are validated through AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) and the user inherits the permissions that are assigned to the Group.

To auto register a user, make sure that:

  • The user logs in to Management Center, Web application, or Mobile application at least once.

  • The enterprise user belongs to an existing Active Directory, Azure Active Directory or CONNECT Group created via Permissions Manager in the Management Center. To know how to add a local Group, see the topic Add an external User Group.

After a user is auto registered, you can associate the user to a local Group in Management Center. To know how to add users to an existing Group, see the topic Add Users.

Note: When an Enterprise user is registered via auto registration, the entire username appears in the FIRST_NAME column of the ISMGT_USER table. Therefore, when you search for an Enterprise user in the Management Center, the First Name box in the user details section displays the entire username.

In case of auto-registered Azure Active Directory user, the Display Name gets saved in the FIRST_NAME column of the ISMGT_USER table and appears in the First Name box of the user details section in Management Center. To know how to search for an Active Directory or an Azure Active Directory user, see the topic Search for an Active Directory user .
