Every other Month (Status)

  • Last UpdatedFeb 21, 2025

This example shows a formula that sets Task Group status based on whether it is an even or odd-numbered month.

  • During even-numbered months, the Task Group is enabled, and its Task is available.

  • During odd-numbered months, the Task Group is disabled, and its Task is unavailable.

The simplest implementation of this example is as follows:

The finished formula, with the Status List items inserted by the Expression Editor’s Status List browser, is as follows:

@IF(((@MONTH(@NOW())%2)=0), @STATUSITEM("{6fafca9e-2781-4352-a90d-6ec3d8c3d36c}", "{903ffec5-c685-4d1a-b2a9-57260aa22944}"), @STATUSITEM("{6fafca9e-2781-4352-a90d-6ec3d8c3d36c}", "{6102228f-2990-4bcb-9a10-bf9cfbe52bdd}"))

Once Validated (see Formula validation), the Task Group interprets its formula in a more user-readable form, as shown below.

When run in October (an even-numbered month), the Group and Task are enabled and when in January (an odd-numbered month), the Group and Task are disabled.
