Default Group Status explanation

This setting is created to provide a method of Procedure navigation in the mobile app.

If not selected:

  • Task Groups with Status are treated as disabled by default when navigating through the procedure

  • If a user navigates through a Task Group on the mobile app without first setting the Group Status, the child tasks of that group will be considered disabled and the user will skip past them and will stop at the next active Task Group or Task.

    • If the "Default Navigation Option" is set to "Background and Hide," child tasks are hidden on the Task and Navigation screen unless either the Status selected "enables" the group, or the Task is configured to "Ignore Status."

    • If the "Default Navigation Option" is set to "Default", "Background", or "Manual Advance", then the "Disabled" child tasks are accessible from the Navigation Screen even if the Task Group Status is set to a "Disabled" state.

If selected:

  • Task Groups with Status are treated as enabled by default when navigating through the procedure.

  • If a user navigates through a Task Group on the mobile app without first setting the Group Status, the child tasks of that group will be considered as enabled and the user will be presented with the opportunity to answer those Tasks.
