AVEVA™ Mobile Operator

Upgrade to AVEVA Mobile Operator

You can use this topic as a starting point for upgrading to AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 and later releases.

Before You Begin:

  • Make sure that your database is in version IntelaTrac 5.1 (SP2) or later.
    The minimum supported version for database upgrade is Intelatrac 5.1 (SP2).

  • In mobile devices, you cannot upgrade from the Mobile Operator 2020 app to the AVEVA Mobile Operator app.
    You can only install a new AVEVA Mobile Operator application in the mobile devices.

  • Ensure no licenses are in use for AVEVA Mobile Operator in the AVEVA Enterprise License Manager.

Steps to upgrade:

  1. Upgrade the Mobile Operator database. See the topic Upgrade Database .

  2. Add Users to the Roles. See the topic Add users to the roles.

  3. Install and configure the AVEVA Mobile Operator. See the topic Install and Configure AVEVA Mobile Operator .

  4. Remove the existing IntelaTrac client and then install the AVEVA Mobile Operator Desktop Client. See the topic Install the client software.

  5. Remove the existing IntelaTrac server and install the AVEVA Mobile Operator Server. See the topic Install the Synchronization Server software.

  6. Install the AVEVA Mobile Operator application in mobile devices:

    1. Android platform. See the topic Learn about AVEVA Mobile Operator (Android) installation.

    2. iOS platform. See the topic Learn about AVEVA Mobile Operator (iOS) installation.

    3. Windows 10 platform. See the topic Learn about AVEVA Mobile Operator (Microsoft Windows) installation.

  7. (Optional) If you want to use CONNECT for authenticating the users, see the topic Configure CONNECT for authentication.

  8. After upgrading, update the authentication mode and map the external group to the Tenant Administrator Group by using the Authentication Mode Upgrade utility. See the topic Understand Authentication Mode Upgrade Utility.
