Upgrade to AVEVA Mobile Operator

You can use this topic as a starting point for upgrading to AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 and later releases.
Upgrade information
You can upgrade your database to AVEVA Mobile Operator 2025.1 (ver 6.2) from the following versions:
-
IntelaTrac 5.1 SP2 (minimum supported version for the upgrade) and hotfixes

AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 and hotfixes (ver 6.0.0)
-
AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 R1 and hotfixes (ver 6.0.1)
-
AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 R2 and hotfixes (ver 6.0.2)
-
AVEVA Mobile Operator 2020 R2 SP1 (ver 6.0.3)
-
AVEVA Mobile Operator 2025 (ver 6.1.0)
Before you begin:
-
Make sure that your database is in version IntelaTrac 5.1 (SP2) or later.
The minimum supported version for database upgrade is Intelatrac 5.1 (SP2). -
The minimum supported version for Server and Client upgrade is Mobile Operator 2020.

An upgrade from Mobile Operator 2020 to Mobile Operator 2025 is a major upgrade and the user must enter installation details.

In mobile devices, you cannot upgrade from the Mobile Operator 2020 app to the AVEVA Mobile Operator app.
You can only install a new AVEVA Mobile Operator application in the mobile devices. -
Ensure no licenses are in use for AVEVA Mobile Operator in the AVEVA Enterprise License Manager.
Important: To install and configure AVEVA Mobile Operator, install the latest .NET 8 versions of the following from the Microsoft website:
- ASP.NET Core Runtime
- .NET Desktop Runtime
- .NET Runtime
Note: When upgrading from Mobile Operator 2020 or later versions, you must uninstall the existing .NET 8 versions and install the latest .NET 8 versions.

Upgrade the Mobile Operator database. See the topic Upgrade Database .

Install and configure the AVEVA Mobile Operator. See the topic Install and Configure AVEVA Mobile Operator .

Install the AVEVA Mobile Operator Desktop Client. See the topic Install the client software.

Install the AVEVA Mobile Operator Server. See the topic Install the Synchronization Server software.
