Click the "Advanced" tab to specify a Tag (necessary for Jump destinations, and highly suggested for calculations) and to set other advanced attributes on the Task Group.

  • Tag: Type a unique identifier for this Task Group if it will be used for Calculations or Jump destinations. This item has a 50 character limit and cannot contain brackets [ ]. It may contain spaces and special characters used for arithmetic (* / + -) but must be enclosed within brackets when used as part of a Calculation Expression (see The Calculation Expression Editor).

  • Update calculation referencing tag: Updates all referencing calculation expressions with the updated tag, if any, of the current task. This button is only available when the Tag is updated. The updated tag must be unique.

    • Click the Update the calculations referencing tag button, if you have updated the tag.

    • You can save the Task Groups only if you have updated the calculations referencing to the node value of the Task Group, if any.

Note: In case of a copy-paste operation, you need to update the tag manually. You must not use the Update calculation referencing tag button as it will update the original tag in all the places where it is referenced in a calculation.

"Override Configuration" Section:

  • Allow Out of Service: This option is available regardless of "Scan/Lock Interaction" settings and allows the "Place Back in Service" option from the AVEVA Mobile Operator "Tools" menu to clear the "Out of Service" attribute from a Task Group’s associated Asset.

  • Allow Scan Override: The mobile user may select the "Scan Override" option from the AVEVA Mobile Operator "Tools" menu to override a forced scan. This option is available if "Scan Point," "Requires Local Scan (Implies Scan Point)," or "Requires Ancestor and Local Scan Point (Implies Scan Point)" is checked.

  • Allow Manual Override: The mobile user may select the "Manual Override" option from the AVEVA Mobile Operator "Tools" menu to override a Task Group’s Status disabled as a result of a Calculation. This option is available when a Task Group’s Status is determined by a Calculation.

Note: For more information regarding "Scan/Lock Interaction" settings, see Task Group Attributes - Scan/Lock interactions tab.

"Options" Section:

  • Use Last Value: When checked, this Task Group will use the last Status value selected.

  • Required: Requires the mobile application user to enter a Status for this Task Group.

  • Sequenced: Sequences this Task Group’s children, presenting them to the mobile application user in the order they appear in Procedure Builder.

Note: Tasks and Task Groups are only sequenced if their immediate, parent Task Group is set for sequencing. If a sequenced Task Group contains a child Task Group not set for sequencing, the child Task Group’s children will not be sequenced.

  • Ignore Parent Status: Enable this option to prevent this Task Group from being disabled by its parent Task Group’s Status.

  • Digital Signature: Check this box to prompt the mobile application user to enter AVEVA Mobile Operator password when attempting to navigate away from this Task Group.

  • Multi Task Control: Allows this group’s Tasks to be opened in multiple task view (see the "AVEVA Mobile Operator User’s Guide" for more information).

Note: Due to memory limitations on mobile devices, if a task group with more than 32 tasks is configured for multi-task control, the single task view will be displayed on the mobile device."

  • Force Recalculation: Check this box to ensure recalculation of this Node’s calculation expression when the mobile user (re)visits this Node.

  • Read All Fields: Check this box to indicate that a peripheral will provide answers to all Tasks in this Task Group simultaneously.
