Before You Begin:
-
The Management Center application uses the fixed communication port '8002'. Therefore, before installing the Management Center, make sure that this port is available.
-
When upgrading, it is recommended to uninstall the current version of the desktop client and then install the AVEVA Mobile Operator desktop client.
-
We recommend the installation folder of the program files to be secured with a tight Access-control list.
-
We recommend you to regularly review and update the Access-control lists to prevent unauthorized access.
-
We recommend you to limit the permissions to only authorized users or groups.
-
We recommend to use BitLocker if you are installing AVEVA Mobile Operator to a custom file path.
Steps:
-
To start the install, from the AVEVA Mobile Operator Installation media, navigate to Install folder and double-click "setup.hta". Setup's main installation screen appears.
-
Click Install Products.
-
Click Client 32Bit or Client 64Bit as appropriate to your operating system.
The installer displays a progress bar as it extracts the files necessary for installation.
Note: If you want AVEVA Historian plug-in and Galaxy Tag Browsing feature in Procedure Builder, then you will have to install the 32Bit version.

-
If the User Name and Company Name fields are blank, enter the appropriate information. Next, choose to whom the program should be available, and hit Next to continue.
-
Choose the installation type you wish to perform:
-
Typical – Installs all programs your installation key allows and only prompts for basic setup information.
-
Custom – Allows you to select which applications you want installed and provides more configuration options.
-
If you chose a Typical installation, skip to Step 10.
Note:
- AVEVA Historian Online will install by default when using the Typical installation.
- If you do not want to install AVEVA Historian Online, choose Custom installation and clear the checkbox marked AVEVA Historian Online in the components list.

Select the components you wish to install and click Next.
Note: Availability of components depends on the Installation Key.
Tip: The "Advanced Math" integration listed under "Procedure Builder" enables the "Trig" group in the Calculation Expression editor. If trigonometric functions are unnecessary, you may simplify the list of operators by clearing this check box.
