After installing the Synchronization Server, you need to configure the server.

  1. From the Start menu, launch the Configurator.

    The Configurator window appears.

  2. Select Server Configuration.

The fields for the Sync Server appears.

  3. Enter the following details:

    • Sync Server Path: This field is auto populated with the Synchronization Server path that you have provided during installation.

    • Certificate: Select the appropriate certificate from the drop-down list.

    • Max Concurrent Connections: Specify the number of active concurrent connections to the Synchronization Server allowed at a given time.
For example, a value as '10' in this field indicates that only 10 active devices can connect to the Synchronization Server concurrently at a given time. Any connections to the Synchronization Server beyond the specified limit will display an appropriate message in the AVEVA Mobile Operator application during the data sync between the mobile device and the Server.

Configure the SDK Service:

This information is required only if you are using the SDK service. In that case, you may need to configure the HTTP ports.

  • Http Binding Port: Specify the desired port number for using the Http. The default Http Binding Port is 9762.

  • Custom Http Binding Port: Specify the desired port number for using the custom Http. The default Custom Http Binding Port is 9700.

The TCP ports are configured by editing MobileOperator.SdkService.exe.config file. If you need to change the port numbers, then do the following steps:

  1. Stop the Mobile Operator SDK service.

  2. Edit the fields of MobileOperator.SdkService.exe.config file and then save the file.

The fields are highlighted in the following image.

  3. Run the Mobile Operator SDK service.

Note: Before configuring the ports, make sure that the ports are available. If the port that you have provided is being used by other application, then the configuration process might not proceed and you may have to provide another available port.
