Name: This required field, which is limited to 255 characters, identifies the Asset. This field is typically an Asset Number as per the plant’s layout.

Display Name: This optional field is used to provide a user-friendly identifier for the Asset. This field is typically a short description of the Asset, and is used to sort the Asset list alphabetically.

Description: Type a Description, if desired, to provide more verbose information regarding the Asset. This field is limited to 255 characters.

Equipment: Check this box to define this Asset as Equipment (a functional part of the process); if left unchecked, this Asset will instead be considered a Location (the area in which Equipment is found).

Allow Work Order Request: Check this box to allow a mobile application user to initiate a Work Order Request (see Work Order Request) on this Asset.

Asset Type: Assigns an Asset Type to this Asset. For more information regarding Asset Types and their use, please see Asset Types.

EPC: Corresponds to the EPC Tag Number (necessary when using the EPC reader).
The following read-only fields also appear on this page for the user’s reference.

Created By: The first, last, and username of the user who created this item.

Created On: The date and time that this item was first saved to the database.

Updated By: The first, last, and username of the user who last saved this item to the database.

Updated On: The date and time that this item was last saved to the database.

Application Owner: Indicates the mechanism responsible for the creation of this item, and will read "Procedure Builder" unless imported by an external system.
