Drag

"Dragging" an object is shorthand for the process of:

1. Clicking an item, and holding down the mouse button,

2. moving the mouse cursor to a new location, and

3. releasing the mouse button.

For example, take the process of scheduling a Shift in the Crew Setup application.

4. Select an item by left-clicking it, but holding down the mouse button.

   

5. Move the mouse cursor to the desired position while holding down the left mouse button. In this case, we wish to schedule the Day shift for this crew to the 23rd

   .

6. Release the left mouse button.

   The Shift is now scheduled to the 23rd for the Crew being configured.
