Learn about System Settings

You can add or update the System Settings for Tenant, Organizations, and Plants. To know about the System Settings, see the System Settings section of the Management Center User's Guide.

When you select a Tenant, Organization, Plant, or a base from the list, the System Settings appear on the details pane. By default, the details of the selected unit appear, and you can use the button to view and navigate through the various System Settings.

In the AVEVA Mobile Operator web application, the System Settings are mostly inherited from the Parent. Therefore, by default, the settings applied to the Tenant are inherited by all the Organizations and Plants under it. Similarly, the settings applied at the Organization level will be inherited by the Organizations and Plants under it. However, depending upon the permission granted, you can modify the fields in any of the System Settings. To know how to modify the System Settings, see the Modify the System Settings . The fields that are not modified, will automatically inherit the value from the Parent unit.

Note: For a base, you can only view the System Settings that are inherited from the parent Plant but you cannot modify them.

For example, consider an Organization called North_ America, under the TENANT containing the Plant called Pittsburgh Plant under it. And the Pittsburgh Plant contains the Base called Zeta Base. All the components under the TENANT, i.e., North_America, Pittsburgh Plant, and Zeta Base will inherit the System Settings of TENANT. However, if you modify the any of the System Settings of North_America, then the Pittsburgh Plant and Zeta Base will also inherit the modified value. In a similar manner, if you modify any of the fields of System Settings in Pittsburgh Plant, the modified value will be inherited by the Zeta Base. You cannot, however, modify the System Settings of the Zeta Base.

You can modify the following System Settings only at the Tenant level. These settings will appear as disabled in Organizations and Plants.
