Depending upon the permissions that are assigned, you can add a Base to a Plant. Along with adding a Base, you can also define the Shift Group associated with the Base.Permissions are assigned via Management Center application.

Before You Begin

  • You must have created the Shift Group in Management Center. To know how to create the Shift Group, see the Management Center User's Guide.

  • You must consider the following points related to Time Zone and Culture fields in a Base.

    • By default, the Bases inherits the Time Zone and Culture settings from the parent Plant. These settings get auto-populated in the Time Zone and Culture box. You can, however, manually modify these settings (see Step 5 and 6).

    • If the parent Plant has no Time Zone and Culture settings, then you must provide a value in the Time Zone and Culture field of the Base (see Step 5 and 6).

    • You can clear the Time Zone and Culture settings for a Base, only if the parent Plant has the Time Zone or Culture settings. When you clear the Time Zone or Culture box for a Base, it automatically inherits the value from the parent Plant. However, if the parent Plant does not have any value set in the Time Zone and Culture box, then you cannot clear the fields in the Base.
