Note: We recommend you to use Force Protocol Encryption on the SQL Server. For more information, see the Microsoft documentation on configuring SQL Server Database Engine for encrypting connections.
Steps:

From the Configurator window, select Data Server.
The following fields appear:

AVEVA Identity Manager URL: Provide the AIM URL that gets generated when configuring System Management Server.For more information, see the Step 3 of the topic Platform Common Services (System Management Server).
Note: The Identity Manager URL must be FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name).

Token Duration (Minutes): Enter the required duration. By default, the time set for the token duration is 5 minutes.
Note: It is recommended to set the duration to a longer time period. By default, the Token Duration (Minutes) field is set to 5 minutes.

Refresh Token Duration (Days): - Enter the required duration (in day(s)) till when the Refresh Token is valid. You can specify a value between 1 and 30. By default, the duration is set to 1 day.

Host Name: Enter the machine name or Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN).

HTTPS Port: Enter the port number.
Note: You must use different port numbers for Data Server and Web Application.

Certificate: Select the required certificate from the drop-down list.
Note:
-The drop-down list displays certificates from personal store that contains a private key.
- If you are using autogenerated certificate from System Management Server (PCS), then you need to disable AVEVA Certificate Renewal Service. -
SQL Command Timeout (in seconds): By default, the field displays a value of 30 seconds. You can, however, extend the timeout value as per your requirement.

Server Name: Enter the database instance name.

Database Name: Enter the database name

Authentication: Select the required authentication, Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication.
Note: You can use Windows Integrated Login for SQL Server Authentication. For more information, see Windows Integrated Login for SQL Server authentication.

User Name: The username to access the database.
Note: It is recommended to use the UserName mapped to MORServerRole.

Password: The password to access the database.

Optional: Select the required HTTP Request and Response components from the HTTP Request to include in Logs and HTTP Response to include in Logs section. The components selected will be logged and can be viewed in ArchestrA Logger for tracking or troubleshooting purposes.

Note: To log the HTTP Request and Response components, you must enable the trace log for the MobileOperator.Dataserver component in the ArchestrA Log Viewer.

Click Configure.
The configuration process continues and you can see the status of the configuration in the Configuration Messages box. If any error or warning messages appears in the Configuration Message box, then you must resolve the issues.
