Learn about server installation or upgrade

Be sure to reference Understand the hardware and software requirements for AVEVA Mobile Operator. Verify that your environment meets all hardware and software version/patch requirements before proceeding with synchronization server installation.

Caution: Running multiple Sync Servers on the same database is possible; however, only one of the Sync Servers can run all of the AVEVA Mobile Operator services. Any other server(s) running on the same database can only run the Mobile Operator Synchronization Service. Please contact AVEVA for more information regarding this type of configuration.

A new installation or upgrade involves:

• Only for upgrade: Removing the earlier versions of the Server and then installing the AVEVA Mobile Operator Server.

• Installing Synchronization Server.

• Configuring the Synchronization Server.

• Optional:Configuring the Mobile Operator Data Transformation Service (Only necessary if using Work Order Requests or OPC.)
