AVEVA™ Mobile Operator

Use the External Servers toolbar

The External Servers tool bar displays icons for the most commonly used functions.

New External Server – Creates a new server configuration of the currently selected type (AVEVA Mobile Operator currently facilitates only one type of server).

Save – Saves any pending changes to External Servers. This function is disabled if there are no pending changes.

Cut - Standard Windows® functionality. Removes the selected text and copies it to the clipboard.

Copy – Standard Windows® functionality. Copies the selected text to the clipboard.

Paste – Standard Windows® functionality. Pastes the text from the clipboard to the cursor’s current location.

Delete – Deletes (disables) the selected External Server.

Refresh – Reloads the External Servers list and associated details.

Embedded Image (65% Scaling) (LIVE) Help – Brings up the Help topic for External Servers.

The Tool Menu on the External Servers screen provides the following menus, which contain the options explained below.

File

  • New – Creates a new server configuration of the selected type (AVEVA Mobile Operator currently facilitates only one type of server). This item appears grayed out if the user does not have permissions to create External Servers.

  • Save – Saves any pending changes to External Servers. This item appears grayed out if there are no pending changes.

  • Close – Closes the External Servers module.

Edit

  • Cut – Standard Windows® functionality. This item appears grayed out if the user only has permissions to View External Servers.

  • Copy – Standard Windows® functionality. This item appears grayed out if the user only has permissions to View External Servers.

  • Paste – Standard Windows® functionality. This item appears grayed out if the user only has permissions to View External Servers.

  • Delete - Deletes (disables) the selected External Server. This item appears grayed out if the user does not have permissions to Delete External Servers.

  • Restore – Brings up the Restore Deleted Servers dialog box (see Restore servers). This item appears grayed out if the user does not have permissions to Delete External Servers.

View

  • Refresh - Reloads the External Servers list and associated details.

Help

  • External Servers Help – Displays user documentation section on External Servers.

  • About External Servers – Brings up the External Servers Application’s “About” screen.
