Filter by Role

Note: Upon first launching, the Roles on the Filter By Role screen are unchecked. Scheduling by Role will be impossible until at least one Role is selected (checked) on the "Role Filter" screen..

The Role Filter dialog is accessible via the Toolbar, the Filter menu, or through the hotkey CTRL+R. Upon execution, the following screen will appear.

The Roles available for the current Plant, are displayed in this window. The following interactive elements are available:

  • Role Checkboxes: If a Role is checked here, any scheduled Procedures assigned to that Role will appear in the Calendar. If a Role is unchecked, any scheduled Procedures assigned to that Role will not appear in the Calendar. This setting will be saved on the basis of the user’s login to Windows.

  • "Show schedules assigned to individuals" checkbox: Check this box to ensure that Procedure Instances scheduled to a User, rather than to a Role, also appear in the Calendar. If unchecked, for instance, and if "Level 1 Operators" were the only Role checked, only those Procedure Instances scheduled to the Role "Level 1 Operators" will be displayed.

  • Column Headings: As with many places in the Management Center, clicking on a column heading here will sort by that attribute. Click again to reverse the sort order.

  • Select All: Selects every item in the list by checking every available box.

  • Clear Selection: Deselects every item in the list by clearing every available box.

  • OK: This button accepts the changes made and applies them to the Calendar.

  • Cancel: Exits the Role Filter screen and returns to the Calendar without making any modifications to the Role Filter settings.

  • Help: Opens the Help file to the topic on Role Filters.

    Note: Procedures scheduled to a person (rather than to a Role) will display when the Role filter is set to "show schedules assigned to individuals."
