Understand the organization structure

The AVEVA Mobile Operator web application provides a unified view of the various functional units that exist in a hierarchy for a Tenant. If you are logging in to the web application for the first time, then depending upon the privileges that you have, it displays the functional units. The first screen of the web application displays the following details:

User name: The name of the user logged in appears on the upper-right corner of the screen.

TENANT:When you log in to the web application for the first time, the Tenant name appears on the upper-left corner of the workspace. When you select the tenant name, the details appear in the pane on the right side of the workspace.You can view or edit the details of the Tenant, and add the functional units (Organizations or Plants) under it.
Note: Only a Tenant administrator can edit the Tenant details.

Organization (
): In the main workspace area, when you select the Organization name, the details
appear in a pane on the right side of the workspace. This pane displays the following
details for an Organization:

General information (such as Name and Description)

System Settings
An Organization can contain Plants and Organizations under it. In the main workspace area, you can add a Plant by selecting the
(add) button. The units added under an Organization appear listed in a hierarchy.
You can view the the list of Organizations and Plants under the selected Organization
by clicking the (
) button. As you navigate through the hierarchy, a navigation path (bread-crumbs)
appears on the upper-left side of the workspace above the unit name. The navigation
path is provided as a link and at any time, you can use these links to navigate to
a previous level in the hierarchy.

Plant (
): In the main workspace area, when you select the Plant name, the details appear
in a pane on the right side of the workspace. This pane displays the following details
for that Plant:

General information (such as Name, Description, Time Zone, and Culture)

System Settings
A Plant can contain only the Bases under it. In the main workspace area, you can add a base by selecting the
(add) button. The Bases added under that Plant appear in a hierarchical order. You
can view the the list of Bases under the Plant by clicking the (
) button. You can select the Base name to view the details of that Base. As you navigate
through the hierarchy, a navigation path (bread-crumbs) appears on the upper-left
side of the workspace above the unit name. The navigation path is provided as a link
and at any time, you can use these links to navigate to a previous level in the hierarchy.

Pagination:
At any point in time, you can view only 50 units listed on the workspace. To navigate further in the workspace the pagination buttons (< and >) are provided at the bottom of the workspace. The units are listed in an alphabetical order. Therefore, if you add a new unit and save it, it will appear in the location as per the alphabetical order.
