Offline authentication

AVEVA Mobile Operator provides a configuration to enable Offline mode authentication for a configured time period. When the offline authentication mode is configured, the user password is cached in the mobile application in encrypted form for Active Directory and Local mode. Offline mode authentication is not supported for Azure Active Directory and CONNECT.
In offline mode, you can continue to work in the mobile application for the same time period as configured in the Authentication Password timeout. To know more about Authentication Password Timeout, see the topic “Configuring Security Settings” in AVEVA Mobile Operator web application Help. Once the configured time elapses, the user may have to authenticate again. To continue working in offline mode, it is required to log in to the application at least once in online mode.
Note: Only the Plant or Base selected in the online mode will appear in the offline mode.
