The Mobile Attachment Cleanup Utility identifies and lists the mobile attachments that are no longer associated with any transmitted or completed Procedures and work order requests. These attachments are not in use and you can delete them manually. It is recommended to run this utility periodically.
These mobile attachments are generated in scenarios such as:
-
A completed Procedure is deleted from the Auditor Plus.
To complete certain Procedures, you might require an attachment. When you delete a completed Procedure, the attachment is no longer associated with the Procedure but stays in the server. Since these attachments are not in use, it is recommended to delete them.
-
The files that were previously attached and then removed from a Procedure.
A Procedure with the attribute as ‘Allow Transfer of Partial Data’ may result in attachments that are no longer associated with the Procedure. Therefore, it is recommended to delete them. To know more about the attribute ‘Allow Transfer of Partial Data’, see the AVEVA Management Center User's Guide.
On the server, these attachments are available at the location specified in the settings Attachments Directory (Mobile to Server) of the hierarchical unit (Plant or Organizations) in the web application.
