Move to parent level

  • Last UpdatedFeb 21, 2025

To move to a parent level, drag the object(s) until the blue box extends to the leftmost border of the desired parent item.

Tip: Selection of multiple items to move or copy prior to drag-and-drop is possible by holding the CTRL button while clicking the desired objects. Release the CTRL button after all desired objects are selected and before beginning the drag-and-drop operation. This is displayed in the "Sibling Level" example below.

Release the left mouse button, and the selected object(s) will move to the indicated parent level (in this example, the root).

Note: Some objects can only be moved to specific locations. For example, Tasks cannot be moved to the Child location of a Procedure, since Tasks must always be Children of Task Groups, Decisions, or Conditions. The mouse cursor will change to the "Universal no" symbol ()to indicate that the operation is not possible.
