Import Manager

On the Asset Detail Manager, click on the Import Manager button to import Asset Details to AVEVA Mobile Operator.

Note: A current Management Center account is required to have permissions over Asset Types and Assets to use ADM

The Detail Manager screen consists of Import Type, Import Blank Properties and Select File to Import.

• Import Type consists of Details only and Full import. By default, Details only is selected.

• Details only: When this radio button is selected, only attached properties are imported to AVEVA Mobile Operator from a spread sheet. See Structure of CSV for importing Assets to AVEVA Mobile Operator for an example. The structure of the CSV for importing Assets into AVEVA Mobile Operator validates only Asset names and Type of Assets available in AVEVA Mobile Operator.

  • Full Import: When this radio button is selected, all the attached properties, including Assets and Asset Type hierarchy, are imported into AVEVA Mobile Operator from the spreadsheet.

• Import Blank Properties consists of Yes and No.

  • Yes: When selected, all the properties available in the spreadsheet are imported to AVEVA Mobile Operator, even if the property values are blank.

  • No: When selected, only the properties available in spreadsheet that contains values will get imported. By default, Yes is selected

• Maximum Asset Batch Size: The default batch size will be 8000, this is the maximum value that user can give. If the user changes the batch size, close and open the Management Center. Changes will then be reflected.

Importing Asset Details into AVEVA Mobile Operator

1. Click on the Browse button to locate the folder where the CSV containing asset details is stored.

   

2. Select the path of the sheet and click Open. The Selected path is displayed on the Select File to Import text box.

   Note: The .CSV file to import must use the UTF-8 text encoding.

3. Click on the Import button. A confirmation message pop up appears: You are about to initiate the Import, this operation may take several minutes. Click Yes.

   

   After successful importing of Assets, a message pop up appears: File processed successfully. Click OK.

   

4. Open Management Center to view the imported Asset Details, including Assets and Asset Type Details with Hierarchy.

Exporting Existing ADM Assets and AVEVA Mobile Operator Assets

5. Click on Export button. The Export Asset Details window appears. The user can select either Asset Type or Asset with filter criteria (All, Begins with, contains with, Ends with).

   Note: You can export only the Asset, Asset Type, and Attached Properties created by using Management Center.

   

   

   

6. After selecting required fields, click OK. The Browse for Folder Path dialog box appears and the user can select a path for export.

7. Click OK after selecting a path. The message File Processed successfully appears on successful export.
