Create new schedules

To schedule Procedures for download, use the Procedures list and Calendar components of the Management Center. There are three methods of scheduling:

  1. Double-click a Procedure in the Procedure List

  2. Right-click a Procedure in the Procedure List and select "Schedule New Occurrence"

  3. Drag-and-drop the Procedure to a Shift / Day cell.

Though each of these three methods will start the scheduling process, the drag-and-drop method is recommended, as this will set the Start Date and Shift values according to the Cell on which the Procedure was dropped. If Crew Overlay is active on the desired Cell, the Pattern variable will also be set to Crew.

Note: Drag-and-drop cannot be used to schedule a Procedure to a Shift that has already passed. This can become confusing because any shift that spans across midnight is displayed on the day that begins after midnight. For example, take the three following shifts.

Shift 1: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Shift 2: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Shift 3: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Any given day cell in the Schedule Manager will display all three shifts. However, the "Shift 1" displayed for that day will be the one that ends at 6:00 AM that day. So, if it is after 6AM on the 13th, the drag-and-drop operation must target the "Shift 1" instance that begins on the 13th – which will display on the 14th because it spans midnight.
Attempting to drag and drop to the "Shift 1" appearing on the 13th will result in the following display, indicating that the schedule cannot be created:

Note 2: An error will appear if at least one instance of the schedule does not occur within 2 years of the current date. If the recurrence pattern is Monthly on the first Friday and the date of entry is 7/26/2018, then the Start Date must be between 7/26/2018 and 8/26/2018. The top end of the Start Date range may have up to a month flexibility.

The Create New Schedule dialog, which allows configuration of all of the settings pertaining to the new Procedure Instance or Series, will display upon performance of one of the above three methods. Note that with exception of the title of this window, this process is identical to that of Editing an existing Procedure Instance or Series.
