Installation

AVEVA Mobile Operator app is installed on the mobile device through app marketplace such as Play Store or through sideloading. Sideloading is directly copying and installing the APK file of the app on the mobile device bypassing the app marketplace.
Note: Make sure the necessary peripheral plug-ins are installed before you install AVEVA Mobile Operator.
To enable sideloading of apps

Tap the Settings app shortcut in the All Apps screen.
The Settings app is opened.

Tap Security.
The Security section is opened.

Tap to select Unknown sources.
A confirmation message appears.

Tap OK.
The mobile device is enabled for sideloading of apps.
Note:

To install AVEVA Mobile Operator

Copy the AVEVA Mobile Operator APK file to a folder in the mobile device.

Tap the APK file.
The installation screen appears.

Tap Install.
The app is installed, and the information screen appears.

Do one of the following:

Tap OK to close the information screen.

Tap Launch to open the app.

Note:
- To install the app from the Play Store, refer to the Get Android apps and digital content from the Google Play Store on Google Play Help.
- The exact steps may vary based on the mobile device. However, the process remains
the same. If you need help, refer to the User Manual of the mobile device.
- By default, the installed app is available only to the current user of the mobile
device. If your mobile device supports user profiles, then you should install the
app separately for each user, as the license, app and related data are not shared
between users of the mobile device.
To update the AVEVA Mobile Operator
AVEVA Mobile Operator app can be updated on the mobile device through app marketplace such as Play Store. To update the app from the Play Store, refer to the Update downloaded apps on Google Play Help.
When the app is updated, you will be prompted to upgrade the database only if the database schema has changed. In such cases, in the Database Upgrade screen, tap Continue to upgrade the database.

To check app version

The App info screen shows name and version of the AVEVA Mobile Operator app installed on the mobile device.

To uninstall AVEVA Mobile Operator

Tap the Settings app shortcut in the All Apps screen.
The Settings app is opened.

Tap Apps.
The Apps section appears.

Tap AVEVA Mobile Operator.
The App info screen for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app appears.

Tap Uninstall.
A confirmation message appears.

Tap OK.
The The app is uninstalled.

To clear app data

Tap the Settings app shortcut in the All Apps screen.
The Settings app is opened.

Tap Apps.
The Apps section is opened.

Tap AVEVA Mobile Operator.
The App info screen for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app appears.

Tap Clear data.
A confirmation message appears.

Tap OK.
The data for the AVEVA Mobile Operator app is deleted.
Note:
- Clear app data to delete data associated with the app. Clearing app data permanently
deletes data stored by the app including files and settings.
