"Deviation" Report

  • Last UpdatedJul 17, 2024
  • 3 minute read

The "Deviation" report allows you to easily look at procedures that have severities other than "normal". These abnormal severities are called deviations. Typical severity levels include "Normal" (0), "Warning" (10), "Alert" (20), "Danger" (30), "Critical" (40), "Shutdown" (50).

You can configure the system to allow for approving multiple procedures at a time that fit the criteria of "normal". For example, if a procedure has a single task that has a severity of "Warning" or higher, it must be approved individually.

A typical scenario would be that after you approve all the normal procedures, you can then use the "Deviation" report to quickly review the procedures with deviations. Other than specifically targeting deviations, the Deviation report is the same as a "Completed / In Progress" report. For the list of columns and data available for this type of report, see "Completed / In Progress" Report.

The filter criteria affects the time it takes to open the Deviation report. For the best performance, we recommend a computer running on Intel i5-12600K and 16GB of memory or higher. Also, 8 GB of memory is required to retrieve more than 500 procedures, although this number could fluctuate based on the size of the procedures being retrieved.

To use the deviation report

  1. Open Auditor Plus.

  2. Define the report parameters. For detailed instructions, see Define Report parameters.

    1. In the Report list, select Deviation Report

    2. Specify the date range for the report in the Start Date and End Date boxes. The report will include all procedures completed between these dates.

    3. Use the criteria filters to further narrow down the procedures for the report.

  3. Click the Get Data button to view the Deviation Report Details screen.

For information about the parts of the details screen, see Procedure view - Main.

  4. Use the procedure tree to navigate through the procedures for auditing. For more information, see Procedure Tree.

  5. Use the filter on the toolbar to generate a subset of items in the filter tree. For more information, see Filter Tree.

In the filter tree, a green check mark appears next to a procedure in the approved state.

  6. You can change the filters for the filter tree and refresh the data by clicking the update button.

  7. When you exit the Deviation Report Details screen, you may be prompted to save the report configuration.
