Collect configuration information from Azure Active Directory

You need to get the following information from the registered application in Azure Active Directory:

Client ID
-
Endpoint
-
Client Secret
To get this information, do the following:

Sign into the home page of Azure Active Directory.

From the Manage pane, select App registrations.
The App registration details appear.

Select the application you want to work on from the list.

The application details appear.

To get the Client ID, Endpoint, and Client Secret, do the following:

In the Essential section, copy the Application (client) ID to the clipboard with the copy (
) icon. This is the Client ID.

Select Endpoints. The OpenID Connect metadata document is the Endpoint.


Note: The Endpoint should not include the parts after v2.0. For example, in the figure above, the Endpoint would be https://login.microsoftonline.com/********/v2.0.

For Client Secret, you can get the value only when the client secret is created newly .

From the Manage pane, select Certificates & secrets, and then select New client secret.

Add a client description, and then select the copy (
) icon to copy it to the clipboard. This is the Client Secret.
