Use silent installation

Mobile Operator Common Install supports silent (command line) installation. This feature uses plain text files called Response Files and enables you to install Mobile Operator components without user interaction.

Important: To install and configure AVEVA Mobile Operator, install the latest .NET 8 versions of the following from the Microsoft website:
- ASP.NET Core Runtime
- .NET Desktop Runtime
- .NET Runtime
Note: When upgrading from Mobile Operator 2020 or later versions, you must uninstall the existing .NET 8 versions and install the latest .NET 8 versions.

Prerequisite software includes .NET Framework. Details about prerequisite software are provided in Mobile Operator security requirements.

Important: The .NET Framework is not installed automatically by the command line installer and must be installed before starting silent installation. Other prerequisites are installed automatically.

Setup.exe is run from the command line and accepts as an argument the name and path of a response file containing pre-scripted responses to Mobile Operator Common Install installation prompts.

Important: Use silent installation only to install a new system.
