Configure an AVEVA connector

Follow these steps to configure an AVEVA connector:

1. In your AVEVA Production Management project, add an AVEVA Data Source,see Add and configure an AVEVA data source.

   

2. Add an AVEVA connection, see Add and configure an AVEVA connection.

3. On the AVEVA Connection, change the ConnectionType property to ConnectionDetails.

4. To connect to AVEVA™ Insight instance, you will need to provide connection details.

   • ConnectionType - Select ServerCredentials or ConnectionDetails.

     ServerCredentials option pases the credentials on the current server to connect to AVEVA™ Insight

     ConnectionDetails options enables you to provide specific connection details to connect to AVEVA™ Insight.

   • ConnectionDetails - This field appears when ConnectionDetails is specified for the ConnectionType property.

5. Paste the AVEVA™ Insight encrypted connection string into the ConnectionDetails property.

6. Add an AVEVA group, see Add and configure an AVEVA connector group.

7. Add an AVEVA variable, see Add and configure an AVEVA variable.

8. Set tag names.

9. Start the project.
