About Quality field specifications

A Quality field specification enables you to define custom limits that field values should be within; for example, acceptable ranges of values for weight, height, length, or temperature. When a field value falls outside the valid range, the cell displays in the Results grid in the configured color, as defined by the Thresholds property of the System Configuration folder.

Type of specifications

There are two types of Quality field specification items:

• Threshold range

• Specification limit

  

To add a Quality field specification

1. Select a Quality field beneath a Quality reporting point.

   

2. On the properties pane, choose Field as the option for Specification Limits Source or Threshold Source. A new child item appears below the Quality field.
