AVEVA™ Production Management

Add and configure a notification condition

  • Last UpdatedApr 07, 2025
  • 2 minute read

Important: AVEVA™ Production Management introduces a new Notification system, but retains the ability to define external notifications. Future development will phase out the old notification system. We suggest you use the newer and more robust Notification system. See, Add and configure Client Notification command.

Notification conditions contain an expression that define when AVEVA™ Production Management is on alert to send out a notification. You can add multiple conditions to a notification rule and combine them with and/or statements.

When the condition or combined condition statement transitions to True, AVEVA™ Production Management executes the actions as defined under the Actions folder.

To add a notification condition

You can add one or more conditions to a notification rule. A condition defines when to send out a notification.

  1. Right-click the relevant notification rule, and click Add Capture Condition. A new Expression capture condition appears.

  2. Rename the condition with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Notification condition properties.
