Specify that the log starts a new file when the 50 MB limit is reached.

To start a new log file

  1. On the Schedule tab, under Stop log, specify When the 50-MB log file is full.

  2. Select Start a new log file.

Ampla Performance Properties dialog box showing where to select the Star a new log file option from the Schedule tab.

  3. Click OK.

Important: Verify that the Start log setting is set to start at a specific time. This enables the performance counter log to automatically start on system restart. If you leave it at Manual the log does not start after you reboot the server.

This creates a batch of 50 MB log files in your log directory – so take care not to run out of disk space.
