When available quantity is less than requested quantity

When you move material balances with the Material Movement wizard by quantity of material (rather than quantity of lot), and when there is only one lot available, AVEVA Production Management sets the destination quantity to the requested quantity, regardless of quantity available.
However, if there is more than one lot available and the quantity requested exceeds the quantity available, the available quantity is moved, rather than the requested quantity. This applies to queue-based equipment, such as FIFO and LIFO.
Scenario 1
The request is to move 600 units. There are 500 units in one lot available to move, so AVEVA Production Management moves the 500 units. There is a debt lot of 100 units incurred.

Scenario 2
The request is to move 600 units. There are 250 units available in each of two lots. AVEVA Production Management moves the 250 units from each available lot to make a total of 500 units. There is a debt lot of 100 units incurred.

Workaround
If you want to compensate for this behavior, the workaround is to insert an input manual movement with a timestamp that is earlier than the processed internal movement. Then execute the Reprocessing function.
