You can use a survey result to change the balance of a lot, lot group, or mixed equipment to reflect the result of a survey. You add a survey result through web services with the SubmitData method, through the Service Bus, or in the Event editor. AVEVA Production Management uses the survey result to automatically calculate adjustments so that the balance of the lot, lot group, or mixed equipment is equal to the balance of the survey result.

  • An adjustment is the manual addition or subtraction of a specified amount from the current balance of the lot, lot group, or mixed equipment.

  • A survey result is the current balance of the lot, lot group, or mixed equipment at a certain point in time.

A survey result is the measurement taken during a survey, which is the current balance of a lot, lot group, or mixed equipment at a certain point in time.

Viewing Survey Results data

You can use the Movement Events view to see movements that result from a survey.

You can use the Material Flow view to see the amount by which the material quantity was adjusted as a result of a survey.

When late arriving data is input after a survey result or has the same sample period as a survey result, AVEVA Production Management flags the record to which the data applies. Reprocess the record so that AVEVA Production Management calculates the correct balance to equal the survey result.

The ErrorLevel icon with tooltip displays next to late-arriving records in the Movement Events view. You can view processing information in the Event editor. You can also add or edit movement events for survey adjustments in the Event editor.
