This table describes how to use the controls in the OPC DA variables configuration tool.

Update the list with the changes that occurred to the variables on the server |
Click Refresh. |

Sort the list |
Click the heading of the column that you want to sort by. A triangle in the column heading indicates whether the sorting is in ascending or descending order. |

Move a column |
Drag the column by its heading. |
|
Group variables |
Drag the column by its heading to the Grouping pane, which is the pane above the list. You can drag multiple columns to the Grouping pane and rearrange their positions in the Grouping pane. |

Ungroup variables |
Drag the group from the Grouping pane, which is the pane above the list. |
|
Display the variables configuration for a group that is in the project |
Click the group in the Show Variables from Group list. |

Filter the list by a group that is on the server |
Click the group folder in the OPC Server Hierarchy pane. |
|
Filter the list by Item IDs that are similar to an Item ID that you specify |
Type the Item ID in the Show Variables with Item ID Like box. |

Filter the list by data type |
Select the data type in the Of Type list. |
|
Import variables into the project |
Select the check box of each variable that you want to import, and then click OK. |
|
Delete variables from the project |
Clear the check box of each variable that you want to delete, and then click OK. |
