Add and configure a secondary table

A Secondary table is very similar to the primary table item. Secondary tables have the same properties as the primary tables with the addition of the join fields property.

You can add one or more secondary tables to a custom view.

To add a secondary table

  1. In the plant hierarchy, right-click the Custom View, point to Add Item, then point to Standard Items, then click Secondary View Table. A new Secondary table appears.

  2. Rename the secondary table with a meaningful name.

  3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Secondary table properties.

  4. Define a join field to connect the secondary table to the primary table.
