Delete a sketch

Knowledge includes an online sketchpad that you can use to add sketches to diary entries, which are Knowledge records. The sketchpad includes tools to sketch shapes and lines, add text, and specify color, pen width, and transparency.

AVEVA Production Management simultaneously displays diary records in the Results grid and the Preview pane. The Results grid shows diary records as records in a table, and the Preview pane shows a diary record as a page. Sketches appear with the diary record in the Preview pane.

Note The sketch option appears only where it is enabled in your project configuration.

To delete a sketch

You can delete the entire sketch from any diary record. For information about how to delete only parts of a sketch, see Use the Sketching Tools.

1. Switch to the Knowledge module.

2. In the Results grid, double-click the Knowledge record that contains the sketch you want to delete. The Edit Knowledge Record dialog box appears.

3. In the Sketch box, select the ellipsis button. The online sketchpad appears.

   

4. On the Sketchpad toolbar, select Delete. A message appears that asks you to confirm that you want to delete the sketch.

5. Select Yes.

6. Select Save and Close.

7. On the toolbar of the dialog box, select Save.

8. On the File menu, select Exit. AVEVA Production Management displays the diary record in the Preview pane, but without the sketch.
