Planning with Recipe enables you to manage and execute a complex recipe collection.

Defines recipe parameters or machine parameters, and their valid ranges. |
|
|
Recipe records have record states to indicate the current status of the records. You can set the properties of a record state to allow automatic or manual transitions to the next record state. |

|
A recipe schema is an associated set of recipe parameters. You can limit the valid parameters for a particular Planning reporting point or recipe. |
|
|
A workflow defines the order of record states, such as New to Pending to Active to Closed. Transitions define when to transition a record from a particular record state to the next record state in the workflow. |
Configure Recipe module settings
Recipe is an extension of Planning, so it shares some configuration items.

Configure project-wide settings for Recipe on the Planning configuration item. |

Configure the plant hierarchy
In addition to basic plant infrastructure, there are Recipe elements to configure that will record Recipe data.

A Planning reporting point stores records that manage scheduled activities. |
|
|
A recipes for a particular product. Each recipe is linked to a recipe schema that determines the allowable parameters for that particular recipe. |
|
|
A Recipe custom field defines the Recipe data that AVEVA™ Production Management records. |
|
|
A Recipe Download action contains the instructions to download a recipe to SCADA points in the equipment. |
