About Maintenance

Maintenance performs two main functions:

  • Monitoring equipment usage - Maintenance collects data about the condition and operation of plant equipment so that the business can determine its maintenance requirements. Values that Maintenance collects can include accumulators and load factors such as run times, number of starts, and energy consumption. AVEVA™ Production Management users can view and chart equipment usage data.

  • Managing work order requests - Maintenance reads from and inserts data into an external work order table that the business makes available to AVEVA™ Production Management. Work order requests can originate in AVEVA™ Production Management automatically or manually, and the business can export work order requests to the external work order table from its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. AVEVA™ Production Management users can view and print work order requests.
