The work order interface is available in Production Analyst when it is set up in Studio and enabled as a user property. Users with correct permissions can use the work order table to request work to be done on various pieces of equipment in the plant.
This screen shows the finished work order dialog box in Production Analyst.

AVEVA™ Production Management provides the ability collect and pass this information to an external task management system that manages and delegates work requests.
The work order table enables AVEVA™ Production Management to connect to the external work order table. It is not a database table, and it does not store work order requests. It specifies the name of the external work order table to which you want to connect AVEVA™ Production Management, and AVEVA™ Production Management uses it to read from and insert data into the external work order table.
What does the work order table do?
The work order table does the following:
-
Specifies the name of the external work order table in the database that the data connection item specifies.
-
Specifies the SQL Select statement to read the external work order table.
-
Specifies which fields of the external work order table AVEVA™ Production Management uses for the work order request number, equipment ID, and originator fields.
-
Defines fields of the work order request form that operators fill in when they initiate a work order request.
