How to set up Process Quality

Prepare for Quality

Before you add a Quality reporting point, do the following:

• (Optional) Define the product hierarchy. Product definitions are not mandatory to configure Process Quality, but they are necessary when product types, product specifications and production runs are linked.

• (Optional) Define period definitions. With period definitions, you can specify repeatable lengths of time in the plant process; for example, a day or a shift.

• (Optional) Define time events. With time events, you can base events on calendar dates and times; for example, once every week.

Define Quality reporting points

You can define the properties of reporting points to specify how AVEVA™ Production Management captures Quality data.

• In the plant hierarchy, locate positions for Adding Quality reporting points.

Define when to capture Quality data

Reporting Points can contain different conditions that specify when to capture Quality data.
