Add and configure the cause code lookup list

Add a cause code

1. In Studio, expand the System Configuration folder.

2. Expand Lookup Lists, right-click Cause Codes, point to Add Item, point to Standard Items, then click Cause Code. A new cause code item appears.

   

3. Give the cause code a meaningful name. The name appears as an option for users to select as the cause of Downtime or Energy events.

   How it looks to the user

   After the operator specifies a cause location for the event, AVEVA™ Production Management populates the Cause selection list with allowed cause codes for this location.
