Downtime and Energy events have some unique fields for identifying the location and impact of plant floor events.
You must first specify the Cause location, and then configured allowed values lists for Cause, Classification, and Effect will become available.
To create a Downtime query in the Filter Builder
This topic describes how to create a filter query for Downtime events in the Filter Builder.
-
Select the Downtime module in the Select Module panel.

-
On the toolbar, click Filter Records
. The Filter Records dialog box appears.
To filter on Cause Location
-
Click Cause Location to open the Filter on Cause Location dialog box. Select the specific locations in the plant hierarchy where the Downtime event occurred. For example, if one piece of machinery is broken, this could be a very specific location. However, if power for the entire plant went down, then this might be an entire site.

After selecting the cause locations, the location names will appear in the text box. This field is editable.

Note When selected, string values appear on the Filter form inside double quotation marks, such as "Enterprise.Coal Site 2". These quotation marks are important, as they preserve any spaces included in the string value.
