Planning with Recipe enables you to manage and execute a complex recipe collection.

The recipe component of Planning extends the capabilities; it enables you to manage and execute complex recipes with many ingredients.

Note: Recipe supports the implementation of the S.88 Batch Control standard.

With Recipe, you can:

  • Define recipe parameters and control their minimum and maximum usage.

  • Improve batch consistency and handle more complicated recipes.

  • Input the quantity values for recipe parameters.

  • Scale the recipe to change the quantity of recipe output .

  • Manage recipe versions, including active and archived recipes.

    UNINTENDED EQUIPMENT OPERATION

    • Engineer your project to make sure that you verify that the recipe is successfully downloaded on all PLCs prior to initiating any operation on that recipe.

    • Be aware that closing the client does not cancel the download operation, since the download of recipes is an operation that is performed on Server.

    • Make sure that there is distinct segregation between the test environment and the production environment.

    Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

How does AVEVA Production Management manage recipes?

AVEVA™ Production Management uses the following elements to manage recipes.

Planning reporting points

A Planning reporting point stores records that manage scheduled activities.

Recipes

A recipes for a particular product. Each recipe is linked to a recipe schema that determines the allowable parameters for that recipe.

Custom fields

A Recipe custom field defines the Recipe data that AVEVA™ Production Management records.

Actions

A Recipe Download action contains the instructions to download a recipe to SCADA points in the equipment.
