Add and configure a period definition

A Period definition enables you to categorize time into definable periods so that you can group and filter data in Production Analyst.

You can add period definitions only to the Periods folder in the System Configuration folder.
To add a period definition

Expand System Configuration, right-click the Periods folder, select Add Item, Configuration, and then Period Definition.
A new period definition appears.

Rename the period definition with a meaningful name. Name for period definitions must be unique to the project in all period folders. For example, you can't have Shift in both PeriodFolderA and PeriodFolderB.
