Configure the Shift Details fields

In this portion, you configure the Shift Details fields to display correctly on the Knowledge details form.

Configure the Crew field

• Under Lookup List in the System Configuration folder, create a Simple Lookup List named Crew with entries: Crew A, Crew B, Crew C.

• Set the following properties on the Crew field:

  Property	Value
  Category	Overview
  Subcategory	Shift Details
  Filterable	True
  DataType	String
  AllowedValuesType	Lookup List
  AllowedValuesLookupList	System Configuration.Lookup Lists.Crews

Configure the Operator Name field

• Under Lookup List in the System Configuration folder, create a Simple Lookup List named Operator Name with entries: Chris Miller, Terry Martin, Pat O'Brien.

• Set the following properties on the Operator field:

  Property	Value
  Category	Overview
  Subcategory	Shift Details
  DataType	String
  AllowedValuesType	Lookup List
  AllowedValuesLookupList	System Configuration.Lookup Lists.Operator Name

Configure the Shift field

• Under Periods in the System Configuration folder, create a period definition named Shift with two repeating periods: Day Shift and Night Shift.

• Under Lookup List in the System Configuration folder, create a period lookup list named Shift Lookup. The Period Definition property of the lookup list points to System Configuration.Periods.Shift.

• Set the following properties on the Shift field:

  Property	Value
  Category	Overview
  Subcategory	Shift Details
  Filterable	True
  DataType	String
  AllowedValuesType	Lookup List
  AllowedValuesLookupList	System Configuration.Lookup Lists.Shift Lookup

• Define the HistoricalFieldExpression property for the field.

  Project.[System Configuration].Periods.Shift.PeriodStarts[time].Value
