Add a basic user

A basic user is authenticated with a username and password.

Note: Remember that basic authentication requires you to set permissions for each individual user. See, Assign a role or user to a location.

Add a basic user

1. In Studio, expand the System Configuration folder, right-click User, and select Add Basic User. A new basic user appears.

   

2. Give the user a meaningful name.

3. Configure the properties. For guidance in configuring the properties, see Basic user properties.
