Recipe parameter properties

Refer to the following tables for the key configurable properties of Recipe parameter.

DataType

Enter the correct data type so that AVEVA™ Production Management can display and aggregate information in fields.

Double, Integer, String

DefaultValue

The default value for the parameter.

You can set this value to zero, if you want the operator to be prompted to enter a value.

DisplayFormat

The display format to use when displaying and downloading parameter values in AVEVA™ Production Management.

EditPriorToDownload

This property is available when ReadOnly is set to False. Specifies whether the operator is prompted to edit the property before downloading to the tag destination.

Maximum

The maximum value for the parameter.

Minimum

The minimum value for the parameter.

ReadOnly

Specifies whether the parameter is read-only or able to be edited in the recipe.

If you select True, the parameter cannot be edited. The EditPriorToDownload property becomes disabled.

Units

The engineering units for the parameter.

ValidationType

This property is available when EditPriorToDownload is set to True. Determines when to validate parameters.

Scaling properties

Property

Valid values

Gradient

Determines the linear gradient to use when scaling values for the parameter.

NestedProduct

When the parameter itself is a product of another recipe, you can link the parameter to that product so that you can create nested recipes.

Click Browse (...) to open the Select Nested Product dialog box and select the product to which you want to link.

Products defines in the project

Scalable

Specifies whether this parameter can be scaled. Scaling means the relative quantity is changed depending on how much you want to produce.

This means that when you specify the quantity you want, AVEVA™ Production Management scales the recipe ingredients to match the required quantity.

ScaledMaximum

Determines the maximum quantity of the parameter when scaling.

ScaledMinimum

Determines the minimum quantity when scaling.
