These properties appear in the Definition > Source category of a Dynamic material movement.

Note: Depending on your selections some properties may appear or disappear from the available set of properties.

Property

Description

Valid values

AllowedSourceEquipment

A list of allowed equipment that the material can move from. These are the permitted source work centers or work units. Click the Browse button to open the selection dialog box to select work centers.

Work centers, work units

SourceLotBehaviorExpression

This property is enabled if the Movement Direction is Internal or Output.

It specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management generates the lot behavior that overrides the SourceEquipment lot behavior.

Click Browse (...) to open the Expression Editor, and then build the expression.

This is an historical expression that AVEVA™ Production Management evaluates when the material movement is triggered. If the expression generates an invalid value, then the default behavior is the equipment lot behavior.

An expression that returns any other value would be invalid.

Any valid expression

The valid values are Mixed, Selective, LIFO, FIFO, or 0,1,2,3.

  • 0 = Mixed

  • 1 = Selective

  • 2 = LIFO

  • 3 = FIFO

SourceLotGroupExpression

This property is enabled if the SourceEquipment property references an equipment with LIFO, FIFO, WeightedAverage, or Selective lot behavior.

It specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management generates the source lot group.

Click Browse (...) to open the Expression Editor, and then build the expression.

This is an historical expression that AVEVA™ Production Management evaluates when the material movement is triggered.

Any valid expression

SourceLotIdentifierExpression

This property is enabled if the SourceEquipment property references a work center that has Selective for its LotBehavior property.

It specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management retrieves the lot identifier of the source lot. If a source lot identifier is not required, leave this property blank.

Otherwise, click Browse (...) to open the Expression Editor, and then build the expression. Lot identifiers are strings, so the expression results in a string sample.

This is an historical expression that AVEVA™ Production Management evaluates when the material movement is triggered.

Any valid C# mathematics or logic operation

SourceMaterialClasses

(Required) A list of allowed material classes.

Click the Browse (...) button to open the Selection dialog box to specify the list of permitted material classes to which the source material can belong.

AVEVA™ Production Management looks up the matching material classes defined for equipment and this determines the permitted source work centers or work units.

Material classes

SourceMaterialsExpression

Specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management determines the source material for the material movement.

Click Browse (...) to open the selection dialog box, and create the expression that defines the source materials.

Expression

SourceQuantityExpression

Specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management determines the source quantity of material for the material movement.

Click Browse (...) to open the Expression Editor and build the expression that defines the quantity of material that moved from the source equipment. The expression results in a single sample.

This is a historical expression that AVEVA™ Production Management evaluates when the material movement is triggered.

Any valid C# mathematics or logic operation

SourceDebtLotGenerator

This property is enabled if the SourceEquipment property references an equipment with AllowNegativeBalance set to True AND if the LotBehaviour is FIFO, LIFO, or WeightedAverage.

It specifies the LotGenerator item that provides the naming convention for lots if the material balance in the source lot is insufficient for the movement (creates a negative balance).

Click Browse (...) to open the selection dialog box, and then choose the LotGenerator item that you require.

The default is DebtLotGenerator under the Lot Generators folder.

Blank

SourceQuantityMode

The method of retrieving the quantity of source material.

Methods

  • Expression (how much quantity to use from the source)

  • UseAvailableQuantity (use currently available quantity of source material).

Expression, UseAvailableQuantity

SourceEquipmentExpression

This property appears if the MovementDirection property is Output or Internal. It specifies the expression that defines how AVEVA™ Production Management determines the source equipment for the material movement.

Click Browse (...) to open the Expression Editor and create the expression that defines the source equipment.
