Mixed lot behavior

An equipment item with a lot behavior of Mixed has the following characteristics:

• The equipment item does not track lots. The movement of a lot to this work center is the last link in the genealogy of the lot.

• A material movement from the equipment is quantity-based. That is, you specify to move a quantity of the material, and it is not associated with a lot.

• Although AVEVA™ Production Management enables this piece of equipment to contain more than one material at a time, it does so only to permit for residual quantities. This equipment can contain only one material at a time.

• It is valid to move more material out of the equipment than material that exists in the equipment. That is, it is valid for the balance of material in the equipment to be a negative lot. See, Understand lot behavior for negative balances.

• The equipment is neither queue-based nor selection-based because it does not track lots.
