Navigate by Location

You can navigate by Location for all modules. When you select this option, AVEVA Production Management limits the equipment hierarchy to show only valid locations with data. In addition, the hierarchy shows only locations for which the user has security permissions to see in the selected module.

You might choose to navigate by Location when you want to see an equipment-centric view. Perhaps you want to focus on selected pieces of equipment that are stopped or slow-running.

To navigate by Location

1. In the Location panel, click the Navigation Mode button.

2. Select Location from the list.

   

   As a result of selecting the Location filter:

   • The equipment hierarchy is limited to show only locations in the hierarchy that contain valid data to query. In addition, the equipment hierarchy shows only locations for which the user has security privileges to see in the selected module.

   • After you select a location, the software filters records in the grid view by the Location column.
