You can add a classification to a Classification lookup list under the System Configuration folder.

Add a Classification

  1. In Studio, expand the System Configuration folder.

  2. Expand Lookup Lists, right-click Classifications, point to Add Item, point to Standard Items, then click Classification. A new Classification item appears.

  3. Give the new classification a meaningful name. This name appears as an option for users to select as the cause of Downtime or Energy events.

How it looks to the user

After the operator specifies a cause location for the event, AVEVA™ Production Management populates the Cause selection list with allowed cause codes for this location.

  5. Next to ClassificationID, assign a unique identifier for this classification.

  6. In the Properties pane, next to the Matrix Type property, select whether this classification applies to Downtime or Energy events.

    • AVEVA™ Production Management automatically assigns a unique ClassificationID to the item. You can change this number if required; however, there must be no duplicates in the project.

    • If duplicate CauseCodeIDs are defined, AVEVA™ Production Management raises a validation error during project validation.
