Custom View Field Editor

Use the Custom View Field Editor to configure the properties on fields in custom views.

Studio Custom View Field Collection Editor launched through the Browse button in the Fields property.

Configuration properties

The Collection Editor has these Configuration properties. Properties can change depending on current selections.

Description

Action

Select GroupBy, Sum, Mean, Count, Minimum, or Maximum.

DataType

The data type of the field value.

DefaultValue

Appears when MissingRecordAction is UseDefault. Enables you to specify the default value to use for MissingRecordAction.

GroupingPeriod

Appears when Action is GroupBy. Select a defined Period by which to group data.

MissingRecordAction

Specify what to handle the data in the resulting table when a record in the Secondary table is missing data.

LeaveBlank - Leave field in resulting table blank.

UsePrevious - Use the first immediately preceeding value that is not blank.

UseNext - Use the first immediately following value that is not blank

UseDefault - Use a set default value.

Name

The name you want the field to have in the Custom view.

SourceField

The field in the original table.

Table

Choose to display in the Primary Table, Secondary Table, or an evaluated field that makes a calculation.

Period Columns

The Period Columns section appears only when the Action value is GroupBy. Previously, the values from a period were strung together in the one field. The Period Columns enhancement enables each of the pieces of data in the period to display in a separate column.

  • Name of the period

  • Start time of the period

  • Duration of the period

  • End time of the period

Description

DurationColumnName

The name to display for the Duration column.

EndColumnName

The name to display for the End Time column.

PeriodColumnName

The name to display for the Period column.

StartColumnName

Inherits the same value as the value in Name.

Display properties

The Collection Editor has these Display properties. Properties can change depending on current selections.

DisplayFormat

DisplayName

The name you want the field to have in the Custom view.

DisplayFullName

The full name you want the field to have in the custom view.

PasteInGrid

Specifies whether this field supports copy/paste functions in the grid view in Production Analyst.

ShowInGrid

Specifies whether this field displays in the grid view of Production Analyst.

SummaryType

Defines how to aggregate multiple values of the fields when displaying groups or totals in Production Analyst.

Units

Specify units to append to the value when displaying in Production Analyst.
